This delicious hands-on cooking class by MiChelle Franzen is part of the Livingston Adult Education program.

During this interactive cooking class, we will start off sampling Jackfruit Pozole Verde with all the fixings. Then, following a demonstration, we will cook Arroz Rojo (red rice), make our own Corn Tortillas and fill them with our freshly prepared Walnut Taco filling. Bring an appetite and containers for left overs.

Many of the basic ingredients used in Mexican cooking are plant-based, including today's menu and recipe items.

Mushroom Spinach Enchiladas
Mexican Hot Chocolate Snickerdoodles
Tres Leches Flan

NOTE: This class is being offered 2x, on Saturday March 14, 1-3 pm, and Wednesday, March 25, 5:30-7:30 pm (during the week of Spring Break). If there are not enough participants to fill both classes, we will try some creative shuffling. Please call Rita if you have questions-.

MiChelle Franzen has been cooking since she was 9 years old and enjoys exploring new flavors in food. Her passion for food has inspired her to start a mobile kitchen, sharing soups, salads and specials prepared with fresh, local, 100% plant-based ingredients, coming to Livingston Farmers’ Market 2020.
