We're delighted to invite you to a hands-on community cooking class where guest Chef Jaspreet will be teaching you all things Vegan Punjabi and you'll be doing the cooking. As always in our classes you can expect to prepare 3-4 dishes hands-on in small groups of 5. The class will follow the usual 3 step method:
1) Vegan/ Plant-based/ Set animal products aside
2) Low in fats/ minimize the use of oils
3) Low-Gl/ Low-Glycaemic/ Unprocessed/ Cooking from scratch
And as this is an affordable community cooking class we also request your help with cleaning up.

Why are you organising a Vegan Chefs of Colour series?
1) We are keen to take our beneficiaries to the next level on their journey and quest for and to maintain a low-fat vegan diet and lifestyle. By giving them the opportunity to experience a different kind of cuisine for those who aren't familiar with it. And for those who are, we hope it brings you new cooking techniques and recipes. We want to showcase all the beautiful colours that vegan food really comes in and redress the unequal balance often portrayed.
2) We also want to offer a platform for vegan chefs of colour to be introduced to new beneficiaries. Often they have to fight harder to have their work showcased. This is our way of offering community support. Each guest chef will be invited to share their platforms, restaurants, pop-ups, stalls, recipe books, contact information and more.

We hope you will join us on this 9 part journey around the world.
Doors open at 6.15pm with a view to starting the class at 6.45pm sharp. We invite you to bring your own containers for any leftover food. At the end of the class you will also be invited to take a seat at your table with your group to enjoy your creations and enjoy a Q&A with Jaspreet.
