Earlier this year, a daring team of 17 vegans aged 18-70 attempted Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain (the peak is 19, 341 feet), decisively proving to the world the heights of what’s possible on a plant-based diet.

Come relive the experience with team organizer: San Diegan & PlantDiego member Mike Weinberg! He will share how many made it to the summit and how this all-vegans team fared compared to the average. Displaying stunning photos taken by team members, Mike will recount the trials and triumphs of their noble quest.

And he’ll be fielding questions for anyone interested in Vegan Kilimanjaro 2, tentatively scheduled for February 2019.
