This is like a potluck, only with cake or other baked goods.

Theme explanation: Anything that is traditional to a country/culture. E.g. Chelsea Buns, Macaroons, Sharlotka (Russian Apple Cake), Irish Soda Bread etc. etc.

The group will meet every 4-6 weeks and each meeting will have a theme.

All you have to do is RSVP and bring something that you have baked that fits the theme. We will share cake/baked goods have a drink together, discuss and have a chat. If you are gluten free don't worry as we will have a gluten free theme on at least one of the meetups. So watch this space. It will be in the title.

The rules:

1. You must bring something to share that you have baked. It is a baking group, so you will be expected to bake. No packet mixes or bought cakes, no exceptions. No raw cakes. Yes, I love raw cakes too, but this is a baking group

2. The cake and any frostings, icings, colourings etc must be fully vegan. We may also bake tarts and pies from time to time. So no meat, fish, dairy, eggs, honey or any animal product. This is not negotiable. If you are not sure, please do ask others members of the group, who will be happy to help.

3. As we will be baking an item large enough for all members to try a slice, do feel free to bring along a container for any leftovers (from previous baking group events, bring a large one!)

4. Please bring an ingredients list with you (important for those with allergies).

NOTES:

1. Government guidelines on Covid-19 behaviour should be followed. Please support by keeping a sensible distance during the event. Pre-portioning your bakes will be helpful.

2. I will bring a couple of picnic blankets but feel free to bring chairs if you so wish.

3. This will be weather-dependent. Happy to host at my house but that reduces ability to socially distance... whatever people are comfortable with.
