Event Description
Event hosted by Catskill Animal Sanctuary.

If plant-based eating is new to you, then you might be wondering what to do with tempeh and tofu. These two budget-friendly, versatile foods provide a delicious way to add healthy plant protein to your diet. If you’ve tried them and haven’t like them you’ll want to join Chef Linda to learn simple prep techniques and recipes that will help you understand the many ways to use tempeh and tofu to expand your menu deliciously and compassionately. Bring your appetite!

In this demonstration-style class, you’ll learn how these foods absorb flavor, change shapes and textures, and can be used to create:

  • Smoky tempeh bacon in a veggie breakfast burrito
  • Nut-crusted tempeh cutlets in piccata sauce
  • Ground tempeh soft tacos
  • Crispy marinated tofu nuggets for salads, wraps, and bowls
  • Creamy chocolate mousse pie

Recipes subject to change based on the availability of ingredients.

Recipes may contain gluten, nuts, and/or soy.
