One of the managers at Steep Rock Bouldering is vegan and would like to bring in more veggie climbers. She's offering Vedge members 15% off their prices. A day pass at Steep Rock West Harlem is $23.80 (down from $28). Shoe rental for anyone who needs it is $5.10 (down from $6). Also, anyone from Vedge who decides to become a member of Steep Rock Bouldering will have the $50 activation fee waved.

Bouldering is a great climbing option for new climbers who aren't yet belay certified. It builds stamina and problem-solving. Bouldering also wears you out quickly, so it's okay if you can't get to the gym until 7pm or so, I know I'm usually spent after an hour of bouldering.

This monthly meetup alternates between the two Steep Rock locations and meets the Third Thursday of the month.

6pm--Climbing at Steep Rock West, 603 West 129th Street

8pm (ish)--Head over find some good eats. There are plenty of veggie friendly options in the area ranging from tacos to Ethiopian.
