A beloved New Jersey vegan icon, **Subia's Vegan Cafe** was one of the first all-vegan restaurants in the state, and remains a favorite among its still-growing legion of fans.

In it's full-article review, **HobokenGirl.com** writes: "Subia’s Organic Cafe is a small, family-owned vegan restaurant located in the heart of downtown Jersey City serving some of the best vegan food in Hudson County — let alone Jersey City — since 2003. **Vegans and non-vegans alike flock here from all over the tri-state area to try Subia’s famous home cooked dishes.**"

It's **house-made Subia's Burger** is a popular choice - made from **sweet potato, lentils and kale,** topped with avocado, tomato, mixed greens and onions, and served with their own cilantro-curry mayo. Also on their burger menu is their **Black Bean Burger** and **Beyond Burger**.

Subia's is best known for its wide variety of sandwiches: **The Reuben, Chick'n Nuggets, Marinated Sesame Seitan, Spicy Buffalo Strips, The Zen Garden, Philly Cheeze** (with marinated grilled seitan)**, Tuna Melt,** and **BBQ Cauliflower.** Or if you prefer a **wrap**, you'll find the **Bandito Loco,** a **Veggie Wrap,** and **Country Chick'n.**

**Subia's is also a juice bar and smoothie bar**. With a very wide variety of ingredients and options.

MOST of their menu items are either gluten-free, or can be made gluten-free.

**Where to Meet:** From the Grove Street PATH station, walk to Subia's Vegan Cafe at 506 Jersey Avenue (bet. Wayne St. & Christopher Columbus Dr.). It's a short, 0.3 mile walk from the PATH stop. We will meet directly inside Subia's at 7:00pm. Most of us will be eating indoors, but outside seating is also available.
