Event Description
Event hosted by Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. This is a free event.

Join the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine in urging the University of Washington to stop using animals for medical training. At UW, paramedics cut into the necks of live pigs to practice a procedure, and then the animals are killed. But 99% of surveyed paramedic training programs in the western U.S. use only nonanimal methods.

To keep everyone safe, we require that all participants wear masks and can provide them if needed. We’ll ask everyone to maintain strict 6-foot social distancing measures during the entire demonstration.

WHERE: Please meet us near UW Medical Center’s main entrance on the sidewalk along NE Pacific Street.

Signs will be provided! This event will be held rain or shine. Please use nearby public parking.

We hope to see you at the demonstration!

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Christine at [email protected].
