Support the organization that helped the first public school in the U.S. go meat-free! This year, Coalition for Healthy School Food is going VIRTUAL to celebrate health, education, and togetherness!

The Green Apple Gala will be a live virtual fundraising event, hosted by actor, author, and chef Ayinde Howell and co-hosted by Vegan Street Fair founder and mom Jessica Cruz.  There are paid or free tickets, a silent auction, special guest speakers, honorees, mixology magic, and more. Certain ticket levels include benefits, including Chef Ayinde Howell’s Mac and Yease or Lagusta’s Lucious chocolates delivered to your door!

You may also choose to make a donation to the Coalition for Healthy School Food, an official 501(c)(3) non-profit, so that it can continue to help schools add healthy plant-based options to their menus and provides nutrition education to the whole school community including students, parents, teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and food service personnel.

About the Organizer:

The Coalition for Healthy School Food (CHSF) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit that introduces plant-based foods and nutrition education in schools to educate the whole school community about the health, environmental, and social justice issues of our food choices.

The Green Apple eSummit + Gala are two exciting events with one powerful mission… to help kids thrive at home and at school during COVID-19 and always.

The gala is our big fundraiser for the year. Income from the gala helps to support our programs which we provide free to schools, especially to Title 1 schools, where a high percentage of the children come from very low income homes. Currently, we are offering virtual learning opportunities for parents schooling from home AND for schools/teachers using a hybrid model that includes days in the classroom and days at home who are looking for content while in the classroom and for their students on days at home.
