On **August 5th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.** we’ll be celebrating Philadelphia’s vegan tourist attraction with food, fun, and surprises.

Vegan vendors such as Vannah Banana Ice Cream and Philly Jerk vegan jerky will be offering samples.

Special guests will reflect on the Center’s opening and the continued mainstream growth of the vegan lifestyle. American Vegan Society President Freya Dinshah, who published the first vegan cookbook in the U.S. back in 1965, will give brief remarks on how far the movement has come. Other officers and trustees of AVS will also be present, including Barata El, who will recite his poem “A Cow at the Window.”
