Event Description
The Humane League is currently campaigning to see Darden, the parent company of Olive Garden, The Capital Grille, and other restaurants address the cruelty in its supply chain by committing to a meaningful welfare policy for chickens. Competitors like TGI Fridays, BJ’s Restaurants, Shake Shack, and several others have all made these commitments--so why hasn't Darden?
Please join The Humane League staff members and volunteers for a silent demonstration outside of the last untouched Capital Grille location in NYC, on Wall Street nonetheless! Our previous protests have been wildly successful and this one shall be no different. The demonstration will last for one hour at each location and we will provide all of the materials and signs.
Because The Capital Grille is an upscale restaurant, we ask that everyone come dressed in business professional clothing.
Help us spread the word about this demonstration FAR and WIDE by inviting all of your friends and family to stand up against Darden’s unthinkable treatment of animals! Together we will create historic change for chickens!
Please email Clare Farrow, THL's New York City Grassroots Director, at [email protected] to RSVP. We will share meeting location & further details via email to preserve strategy. Thanks!
After our demonstration, all are welcome to join us for food and drinks to celebrate!
