Event Description
Full Circle Farm Sanctuary's Camp Caring will teach children about animalsin a way that will change their perspective about themselves and the world around them. Children will be exposed to, and have the opportunity to learn about, various species including Pigs, Goats, Chickens, Bovines (Cows), Sheep, Turkeys, Emus, Llamas, Alpacas and many more. We want to show children that even though we all look different, we are all the same inside. Every individual being has feelings, characteristics, and a unique personality and needs food, water, shelter, and love. Through hands-on experience, campers will gain an understanding of animals, see how much we all have in common, and learn to expand their empathy for all sentient beings.Campers will see and understand that animals are intelligent, emotional beings who possess complex social structures and communication systems that allow them to develop meaningful relationships with one another. As campers spend the week at the sanctuary and learn more about animals, their lives will open up to a whole new world where animals are seen for the beautiful, feeling individuals they are. They will learn the importance of treating animals as they would any other friend. A typical day will include interactive learning, working on small projects (such as building bluebird houses) and hands-on interaction with animals.
Campers will be provided with Vegan snacks and lunches throughout the week.
