Event Description
In a nurturing, informal, relaxed environment, learn how to safely massage your baby using gentle, loving touch to support his/her development and well-being, and encourage bonding in those precious first few weeks and months after birth.
On this course, you will learn:
- massage strokes for all body parts of your baby
- yoga-inspired gentle movements for your baby
- a routine to help with colic symptoms
- a routine to be used at bedtime
- playful routines to be used beyond babyhood
Each class also includes some gentle post-natal yoga stretches and breathing to support your post-natal recovery, as well as a lovely joint relaxation to nurture yourself, connect and recharge.
Massage has many physical, physiological and emotional benefits for babies as it promotes calm and relaxation, leading to better sleep; boost immunity; help relieve colic symptoms and digestive problems such as constipation; improve muscle tone, flexibility and body awareness.
Suitable for babies from birth up to 12 months old.
This course runs for 6 consecutive weeks on Thursdays, 1pm to 2pm, starting 22 February, and ending on 29 March.
