The Animal Law Committee is excited to announce a one-day conference open to students, lawyers and members of the public alike. The theme for 2019 is how future law reform in Australia could challenge or improve protections for animals and their advocates.

This event will include a series of talks, a delicious morning tea and lunch from social enterprise caterer Parliament on King, barista-made coffee, a panel discussion, and opportunities to network.

Our fantastic line-up of speakers will cover topics such as the regulation of agriculture, the legality of using animals in entertainment, using the consumer law to help animals in test cases, and reflections on running a community legal centre for animals:
