Come meet the resident alpacas, goats, donkeys, roosters and mini-cow and learn about why we have this refuge. The main mission of this open-house series is to educate people about the benefits of adopting a plant-based diet. What better way then to share a wide variety of vegan food options? This is why our menu changes every week. For the meal people are seated at long communal dining tables, so you are sure to make some new friends. You do not have to be vegan or even vegetarian to attend. There will also be live music during the event. After the meal you are welcome to go for a stroll around the park-like property where you can meet the animals and explore the refuge.

February 3: This week's brunch will feature a taco bar. Create your own tacos using corn or wheat tortillas. A wide assortment of fillings, including vegan chorizo, black beans, corn, avocado, refried beans, sautéed veggies, rice, sweet potato, peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, vegan cheese & sour cream, and much more. As always, we also feature endless cups of organic/fair trade coffee, tea, or hot apple cider. sure to make some new friends. You do not have to be vegan or even vegetarian to attend.

Food is served buffet style and is prepared in the commercially designed kitchen (currently used only for events and cooking classes) and is served between 11:30 and 1 pm. Folks seat themselves at several communal tables in a recently remodeled room that is adjacent to the kitchen. When the weather is pleasant, people have the option of eating, or taking their coffee, outside on the back patio, which has a lovely view of the animals.
One child may attend for free with each adult who pays the $15 entrance fee to visit the farm animal refuge. Additional kids are $7.50.

*Spaces are also being filled by reservations submitted on Eventbrite, and elsewhere, I add those people to my guest list on here. Please leave a comment to let me know if there are children in your group.

The food is cooked with mostly organic ingredients, many sourced locally, and they are prepared with minimal oil and sugars. You are sure to meet some nice folks and there will be live music and sometimes other forms of entertainment.
Please do not bring your own pets and watch for oncoming vehicles on the driveway as it is only one way. There are inherent hazards when being in nature and around any animals.
