Event Description

Please join the Veg Society of DC Book Club's discussion of How to Survive a Pandemic by Dr. Michael Greger of nutritionfacts.org.

The coronavirus, like many other infectious diseases, originated from human interaction with animals. As the world grapples with COVID-19, Dr. Greger reveals what we can do to protect ourselves during a pandemic, and what society must rectify to reduce the likelihood of even worse catastrophes in the future.

To participate you must read at least half the book—and RSVP at least two days before the meeting.

The VSDC Book Club usually met in vegetarian restaurants in DC or nearby Maryland or Virginia. In March 2020, we began meeting online instead of in-person. People who RSVP yes will get the details to join the discussion (the weekend before the meeting). The details will not be posted on meetup.

We read fiction and nonfiction in alternating months, about any topic. For more information (including everything we have read over 28 years!) visit https://vsdc.org/Book-Club or contact Beth (http://www.meetup.com/vegan-28/message/?recipientId=1642817) through meet up.

Don't be a no show! If your plans change, update your RSVP.
