The local vegetarian communities will sponsor the first VegFest of Eastern Iowa on Saturday, September 29, 2018. This will be an all-day event at the Unitarian Universalist Society, 2355 Oakdale Road, Coralville, Iowa, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be presentations on health (including cooking classes), animal welfare, the environment and the spirituality of a plant-based lifestyle. Additionally, the Fellowship Hall will provide a location for local vendors to share their expertise and wares. Participants will have the opportunity to taste local food offerings, converse with experts, and purchase items of interest.
