Event Description

This is a repeat of the 3-session series previously held at Mt Lebanon Library in January. Several of you told me that you were unable to attend that series, so I hope you can attend this encore. The presenter strongly encourages you to attend all 3 sessions. They are from Wynk Nutrition (www.wynk-nutrition.com).

NOTE THE NEW LOCATION!

PLEASE register by calling or emailing .

Free parking is available in the tiny lot (srsly, it has about 8 spaces) in front of the Library. Plenty of metered parking is available in the lot across the street.

Event description:

Join us for a free comprehensive overview of vegan/plant-based nutrition with registered dietitian MJ Costello.

These three weekly sessions are geared toward learning the basics and optimal nutrition of vegan/plant-based diets and the sorting of fact from fiction. Evidence shows that a more vegan/plant-based diet helps prevent, treat, and/or reverse some of our leading causes of death, including cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, certain lifestyle cancers, obesity, and overall physical and mental well-being.

Session 1: Reality Check. Basic Nutrition Education (Feb 8)

Session 2: Health Risk Reduction through Nutrition (Feb 15)

Session 3: Practical Application. What Do I Eat? (Feb 29)

Vegan/Plant-based diets are becoming much more popular for their profound advantages to our health, our environment, and our animal welfare.
