Join us for a lovely end-of-summer, early fall evening in Jersey City.

Fashionable Newark Avenue, emanating from Grove Street in Jersey City, has become a nightlife mecca. We'll be exploring the "Grove Square" area of Jersey City in a tour of some vegan-friendly joints.

HOW THIS MEETUP WILL WORK: Our group will meet in front of Tacoria in Jersey City at 24-26 Erie Street (corner of 1st Street). We will order and eat (we will eat in front of the venue only, not indoors), and from there we will tour two other nearby vegan-friendly restaurants as well. (One of these is an ice cream shop, so we are actually going to just two "real" restaurants, both extremely vegan-friendly).

The first stop on our tour will be the Jersey City branch of the highly-regarded New Jersey mini-chain, Tacoria. The place is extremely vegan friendly - see Page 2 of the menu.

A traditional ice cream shop, in business since 1968, they now serve vegan soft-serve, vegan sorbets and vegan ices in additional to their dairy products. We will be ordering vegan only.

STOP 3 - Pet Shop

A trendy bar and restaurant with an all-vegetarian menu that is mostly vegan. We'll be ordering vegan only and eating at their outdoor tables.

Train Directions: Take the PATH train to Grove Street.

Where to Meet: From the Grove Street PATH station, walk to Tacoria at 24-26 Erie Street (corner of 1st Street). It's a short, 0.2 mile walk from the PATH stop. We will meet directly in front of Tacoria at 7:00pm.
