Like a pot luck, but with cake.
This is the fifteenth meeting of a vegan baking group, designed for members to show off their baking skills and share their creations.
How it works: each meeting will have a theme. RSVP and bring along something you've baked to fit the theme. Share cake, discuss cake, have a drink. Simple.
This month, we're baking things with yeast. I love yeast baking, it feels like such an accomplishment to see things rise beautifully. Think bread, Chelsea buns, yeasted cakes...
The rules:
1) Every attendee must bring something to share (cake, bread, pie, tart, etc.). It must be baked, and it should be large enough to share (e.g. a dozen cupcakes, a cake large enough to cut into 12 slices). No exceptions- it's a baking group, you kind of have to bake.
2) Everything must be vegan- no meat, fish, dairy, eggs, honey or any animal-derived products. If you're not sure about an ingredient, there are plenty of people who can help, so just ask.
3) Sharing is very much encouraged, so feel free to bring a box for leftovers.
4) Please bring an ingredient list for your bake.
Accessibility: access is via a small step, and our usual spot up another step, although we can easily relocate. Toilets are downstairs.
