We will have another fun “Cruelty Free” Celebration of Australia!
The Vegan Society of Queensland Team is inviting everybody to celebrate Australia Day before the Government's officially designated "Australia Day Celebration” date out of respect and solidarity to all Indigenous Australian groups – as many indigenous communities have asked for.

Every year, over 33,000,000 lambs lead miserable and tortured lives for the sole purpose to be cruelly killed and consumed – particularly for events like The Australia Day celebrations. This is horrible animal exploitation! Celebrating Australia Day the Vegan way sends a clear and strong message to the rest of Australia (and the world) that there is no need to cause pain to defenceless creatures or to participate in the destruction of our natural environment – both a result of animal farming.

A Vegan Australia Day is a true celebration of life and we choose to pave the way for an environmentally friendly, happy, clean and cruelty-free celebration of any and all special dates.
There will be an official opening ceremony with an acknowledgement of country ceremony, vegan lunch feast and BBQ, short presentations, live music performances, family and kids activities, thong throwing contest, sports competitions, give away prizes and more.
