Event Description
Event hosted by Meatless Meetup.

This is an annual event for us. This year, our vegan potluck is transforming into a socially distanced vegan picnic.

Visiting Southlands Farm makes you feel as though you have left Vancouver, but it is a real farm right here in the city, in Southlands.

You are welcome to visit the goats, sheep, horses, chickens, ducks, and the Vietnamese potbellied pigs. Many of the animals are rescued. Do note this is a vegetarian, not a vegan farm, as the eggs are eaten. Our potluck, however, is all vegan.

This event is not to be missed as it only happens once a year. Volunteers will be needed for set up, greeting and clean up.

If it rains, the event will be postponed.

We understand food is said to be very low or no risk for COVID-19 transmission, but serving utensils and congregating at a potluck buffet table may be.

So, please bring your own food, plate, and utensils and water bottle. There is nowhere to wash dishes so please bring a bag to take your dirty things home in.

To facilitate potential contact tracing, everyone is required to sign in at the farm.

And, as always, you don't need to know someone who is coming in order to comfortably attend. There's lots to see and do at the farm and many people to talk to.
