THE CLIMATE CRISIS AND THE FUTURE OF FOOD AS THE PLANET HEATS UP, WITH JIM PORTERFIELD OF THE CLIMATE REALITY PROJECT, WEDS. JAN. 22 AT 6 PM

On Weds Jan. 22 at 6 pm, Jim Porterfield of the Climate Reality Project will give an eye-opening presentation on the future of food as the planet heats up due to the climate crisis.

Mr. Porterfield will address the following points:

*** How and why the climate is changing our world
*** Food production: The biggest contributor to global warming
*** The impact of global warming in California and worldwide
*** Global warming solutions we know will work

Jim Porterfield is a Sacramento based climate change activist. He has been trained by former Vice President Al Gore through the The Climate Reality Project, which is a foundation created by Mr. Gore.

Jim is part of this international organization, active in 155 countries around the globe. He has been personally trained by Mr. Gore and his international team of climate scientists. The training is ongoing. He has also completed online certificated climate science courses through Yale University.

Jim says this: "Ever since I started giving climate change speeches to civic organizations and college level students, I have been passionate in my commitment to three things: maximizing awareness of global warming causes, impacts and solutions; inspiring interest in the planetary environment and instilling a sense of responsibility for participating in the solutions to this global crisis."
