Event Description

***Note events will now be 11am- 2pm. As winter approaches, pigeons are going to sleep earlier. We are able to help more pigeons earlier in the day while they are still out and about!

WHAT: Every day there are hundreds of birds throughout the city of San Francisco who have strings and hair tightly wrapped around their toes, causing immense pain. Eventually their toes lose circulation, become amputated, or develop severe infections. We can help our bird friends by removing the string before the damage becomes too serious, providing medical care, and releasing them back to their flocks!

WHERE: We will be meeting in front of Wells Fargo bank, atth St, San Francisco, CA 94103.

WHEN: Sunday, December 8, 11am- 2pm.

Note: Due to the risk of Newcastle Disease, we are asking that everyone wash their clothes after this event. The disease is not dangerous to humans, but can be spread by humans to other birds. We will be using a new sock and gloves for each pigeon, and using lots of hand sanitizer. Out of an abundance of caution, please avoid visiting farms, microsanctuaries, or sanctuaries for as long as possible after this event.
