Please join us for a a brunch-time letter-writing party on behalf of the animals at Broadfork Cafe in the U District (and shop at the weekly farmers market afterward)!

Letter writing is a simple and powerful way to make change for the animals. You're welcome to bring your laptop to send emails -- and we'll provide stationery, pens and stamps for snail mail, which can have a big impact because it's so rare these days.

The legislature will be wrapping up a session that included bills on everything from zoo funding to animal fighting, making it a perfect time to thank lawmakers in some cases and remind them we're watching in others.
