Event Description

Let's geek out on the science of whole food, plant-based nutrition with some foundational texts of our health empowerment movement! On the fourth Tuesday of each month, Plant Powered Metro New York will meet virtually to discuss a book of interest to the whole food, plant-based community.

This month we will discuss Proteinaholic, by Garth Davis, M.D. Proteinaholic is an engaging book that dispels the myths about protein that have been perpetuated by the media and even our doctors, and helps us to answer the question most commonly directed to vegans: "Where do you get your protein?"

Participants are asked to read the book before the book club meeting, but please join us anyway if you don't have the chance to finish. This monthly series will be facilitated by PPMNY's Lynn Diamond.

Buy the book on Amazon.

For those who want to plan ahead, for June we will read Dr. Joel Fuhrman's new book, Eat for Life.
