Event Description

FFAC Bay Area will be in San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Rosa, Oakland, and Berkeley for the climate strikes on September 20th. Read below for information on this one! We will have leaflets for volunteers to hand out that educate people on the role our everyday food choices play in the current global climate and environmental crisis.

FFAC is co-hosting the SF climate strike with Compassion Over Killing and the Plant-Powered Planet Protectors. The Plant-Powered Planet Protectors (P4) are a diverse coalition with a powerful message: We can choose to protect the planet and our future every time we sit down at the dinner table. Meet in front of Ananda Fuara at 9 am at 1298 Market St. At 9:30 we'll head over to the SF Federal building (90 7th St San Francisco). We will have banners, leaflets, and handheld signs. Over the next 3 hours, we will be marching to major corporate offices, Dianne Feinstein's office and the ICE office. The updated march route can be found here: https://www.bayareaclimatestrike.net/march
Then from 1-7 pm we will be at the Resiliency Village pop-up at Sue Bierman plaza, which is close to the last stop on the strike route.
