Event Description

What will life look like for us in 2050? Created and directed by Sofia Pineda Ochoa, Endgame 2050 gives us a glimpse into our future, and – spoiler alert – it does not look good.

As shown through an eerie fictional opening segment, humanity has backed itself into an ecological endgame with food and water shortages, runaway climate change, fishless oceans, and civil unrest. The remainder of the film features top scientists and leaders who provide testimony on the dire state of our planet and our future. Featuring musician and environmentalist Moby, Endgame 2050 is an urgent call to action to tackle the existential crises bearing down on our planet.

HUMANE ACTION Pittsburgh and Animal Wellness Action invite you to a free film screening of Endgame 2050, followed by a 60-minute discussion with the following panel of experts:
• Natalie Ahwesh, M.Ed. (Vice President, HUMANE ACTION Pittsburgh);
• Brandon Burr, OD (Director of Food Policy, Animal Wellness Action);
• Sofia Pineda Ochoa, MD (Director, Producer, & Narrator, Endgame 2050); and
• Bob Rapfogel, JD (Producer, Endgame 2050).
