Event Description

Eating lots of dark leafy greens and cruciferous vegetables may be the best thing we can do for our health... but how much do we really need? How are we supposed to fit them into our busy modern lives? And how to make them tasty?

In a round-table, casual atmosphere, over a light dinner, Brigitte Gemme of the Vegan Family Kitchen will share the insight gained from top plant-based nutrition authorities about green vegetable consumption. She will also share great recipes to enjoy greens in pasta dishes, salads, soups, stews, and smoothies.

This is a great opportunity to learn while socializing with other people interested in plant-based nutrition and cooking.

** A light dinner of pasta with Super Healthy (and Tasty) Pesto will be prepared and served on the spot (volunteers may be designated to help!). **

We are trying to be as close as possible to zero-waste, so please bring your own refillable water bottle, bowl, cutlery, drinkware and napkin.

WARNING: Nuts will be used in this workshop. If this is a concern for you, please contact the organizer before registering.

The ticket price of $20 goes toward room rental, food costs and a portion of the Meetup costs. A low-income rate is available - contact the organizer if needed.

** This event is perfect for veg-curious people and for those who currently follow a plant-based diet, more or less strictly. **

Important: this event will only go ahead if 6 people register and buy their ticket before October 15th.
