This aquarium has had multiple violations, including but not limited to, a gray horn shark being stolen, being shut down (temporarily) by the fire department and city officials, filthy tanks, etc.

With the reopening, Leon Valley/San Antonio Aquarium has added a sloth to the list of animals to "visit". Snakes are kept in too small of terrarium, kids bother the tortoise (trying to ride him/her), the water in the tanks isn't cleaned regularly (the glass and water is filthy). All of this is exploitative and witnessed personally.
