Event Description

Hi everyone!

We have exciting news! This week our renowned board game evening will not take place at The Greenbank. Instead, we're trialling a new venue in the centre of Bristol, the Resbite Cafe, on Broad Street. We hope that this alternative venue will make the event more accessible to vegetarians and vegans not living in East Bristol.

About Vegetarian and Vegan Board Game Nights:

We first began organising Board Game evenings almost three years ago, at the Phoenix Cafe. The organisers and the venues have changed, but we're pleased to still be going strong.

These evenings cater to all levels of board game experience, so you needn't worry if you've little or no familiarity with board games. The games we play range in complexity and length, and cater for a variety of tastes. For example we have bluffing games, set collection games, tile laying games, word games and strategy games. It's a friendly, relaxed environment, and most of the people who attend are vegetarians or vegans first, and board game players second.

About the Resbite Cafe:

Resbite is an independently run plant-based cafe and community space based in the Arc building in the heart of Bristol. They specialise in fresh, organic, gluten-free food. All their produce is carefully selected to ensure maximum nutritional benefit.

By providing healthy, organic food at low cost Resbite believe they can encourage everyone to participate, regardless of their economic status.

The cafe is opening in the evening especially for us. They charge £6 for a meal, and for that price you can mix and match from a selection of healthy vegan items, such as curry, pies, vegetables, etc.

About our Meetup Group:

We encourage regular attendees of Board Game evenings to make a voluntary donation of £1, which goes towards the cost of running the Meetup group. It costs us around £15 per month just to cover the Meetup subscription, so without donations the group will close down permanently.

As always, let me know if you have any questions.
