Join us for a beautiful summer Friday night right on the Coney Island Boardwalk at Ruby’s Bar & Grill. We’ll chill on the boardwalk with ocean views and the ocean breeze.

There’s also a ton of things to do around Ruby’s! The area includes more than 50 separate rides and attractions. And Ruby’s Bar Restaurant is itself is a Coney Island institution. The location was originally Hebrew National Deli and Bar started in 1934, then in 1970's it was purchased by the current owners and converted to Ruby's. They have veggie burgers, but no word on whether these are vegan -- I would double and triple check.

Travel & Leisure calls Ruby’s one of, “Eight Awesome Dive Bars in New York City.. It can be easy to forget you’re on an island here. Not at Ruby’s. The beachfront bar has seen it all—including a total transformation of the Coney Island boardwalk it’s called home since 1934—but you can still expect some extremely tanned (and, OK, burned) gents and ladies sitting in fold-out chairs, a few bedraggled beach bum types at the bar, and a general joie de vivre.”

Ruby's is a New York Magazine's critic's pick! Per Brooklyn Historical Society: "Rubin Jacobs opened Ruby's in 1975 and it has since become a mainstay as the headquarters for both the Mermaid Parade and the Polar Bear Club..." It has weathered two hurricanes and near eviction in 2010.

Thirsty says: “This Coney Island institution is still the place for waterside boardwalk chilling, with reliable beers, cocktails, and ….. “

With all the wonderful vegetarians and vegans who attend each of our events, every event we do is liked by our members. People enjoy the fact they can mingle (speak with lots of different people), and they love the beautiful surrounding that we go to.
