Event Description

The sights, sounds and feelings of Coney Island on a summer night are enchanting, almost otherworldly, and are not to be missed. And it's all only a subway ride away. We'll grab a catch-as-catch-can dinner from the food vendors there (there are a few vegan options at the various food sellers), as we stroll around Coney, taking in the sights and even going on some rides (for those who wish to). Around 9pm we will head over to Ruby's on the Boardwalk, to hang out (right on the Boardwalk). Also, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase at Ruby's (but no purchase required).

Where to meet: We'll meet at 7:15pm in front of Nathan's at the corner of Surf Avenue and Stillwell Avenue. It's easy to get there. Just take the D, F, N or Q trains to the last stop in Brooklyn -- Stillwell Avenue/Coney Island. The subway stop is right at the corner of Surf Avenue and Stillwell Avenue.

Nathan's is at the same intersection as the subway stop, diagonally across the street. So cross over to Nathan's once you leave the train station. The train takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes from 34th Street in Manhattan. ***Leave extra time in case the train is late.*** We'll be waiting in front of Nathan's for fifteen minutes only, until 7:30pm. It's a great idea to be there early anyway. Coney Island is a blast to walk around, if you have extra time before meeting us at 7:15pm.

I am 6' 4" and will be holding a sign that says "VEG MEETUP". Look for me at 7:15pm in front of Nathan's, right on the corner of Surf Avenue and Stillwell Avenue (diagonally across the street from the Coney Island/Stillwell Avenue train station). We will be waiting till 7:30pm only. Arrive early, don't be late!

Looking forward to a beautiful time in Coney Island. See you there!

David
