Event Description

Plant Based News in association with Bright Zine is proud to present the London premiere of "A Prayer For Compassion" a brand new vegan documentary with a spiritual twist.

Are you ever overwhelmed by the suffering of our fellow beings and the dire predictions about the future of our planet? So was filmmaker Thomas Wade Jackson, winner of a Student Academy Award for his short, Slow Dancin’ Down the Aisles of the QuickMart. It inspired him to set out on a quest across America, to the UN Climate Conference in Marrakech, and throughout the Indian subcontinent asking the question, “Can people who already identify as 'spiritual' expand their circle of compassion to embrace all life, and make choices in alignment with this value?”

The result is the new feature-length documentary, A Prayer for Compassion, produced by Victoria Moran.

Calling on spiritual seekers of every stripe to help usher in a vegan world, A Prayer for Compassion has supporters including moby who says, "This film reminds us that no being should be exempt from grace, kindness and compassion." And Harry Potter actress Evanna Lynch who says, “I was very moved by this powerful documentary and the many spiritual leaders spoke of the imperative to align our actions with our spiritual values and take responsibility for humanity’s treatment of animals.”
